The thin line on top of each rolling paper that will make your papers stick together when licked (wetted) is usually made of gum arabic. Most high-quality papers use sugar-based gum, which is known to be quite safe to smoke. Other very popular types of rolling paper may be made from acacia tree resins.

A tip is a small filter in your blunt/spliff/joint. They may also be referred to as a tippy, smoke tip, crutch, or simply – filter tip.
