What is the EZ-test for MDMA purity?

History of the Test

The EZ-test for MDMA purity builds on the development of reagents for MDMA analysis. MDMA was synthesized in 1912 and became popular in the recreational scene in the 1970s and 1980s. How do you use the EZ-test to determine MDMA purity?

1. Weigh out a precise amount of sample (usually 20 mg of fine powder).
2. Carefully break open the glass ampoule (without using force).
3. Place the sample in the vial, close it with the cap, and shake well.
4. Wait 15–45 minutes and compare the color (usually the top layer) to the included color chart.
