What is a shaman?

The word Shaman has broad coverage. Looking at the original meaning, a Shaman is someone who practices Shamanism to connect with the spirit world. To be more specific: originally, this religious phenomenon only occurred in Siberia and Central Asia. A Shaman is often confused with, for example, a Native American medicine man.
