This specialized test kit was developed to estimate the concentration of MDMA in a sample. Each kit contains one glass vial with a chemical reagent embedded in silica gel. When a precise amount of sample (usually 20 mg of fine powder) is added, a color change occurs that you compare to the included color chart.
The test does not detect amphetamines, thereby providing a more accurate indication of purity. The kit is compact, requires no special equipment, and is ideal for home use as a harm-reduction tool. Please note: this is a preliminary test and not a comprehensive laboratory analysis.
The EZ-test for MDMA purity builds on the development of reagents for MDMA analysis. MDMA was synthesized in 1912 and became popular in the recreational scene from the 1970s through the 1980s. In the 1990s and early 2000s, concerns grew about widely varying dosages and adulterants. Around the early 2010s, EZ-Test introduced a specific purity test that excludes amphetamines. Over the years, the test has been improved with more stable reagents and clear color charts in response to the changing market.
The kit contains a specialized chemical reagent embedded in silica gel, packaged in a single-use glass ampoule. It also includes a plastic cap and a color chart. The components are designed to provide a preliminary estimate of MDMA purity without the need for additional equipment.
