Passion Flower 5X Extract

About Passion Flower 5X Extract

Passion Flower 5X Extract is a concentrated extract of passionflower (Passiflora incarnata), a climbing plant that has been known for centuries for helping you wind down at the end of the day. The package contains 20 grams.

Origin and History of Passion Flower

Passiflora incarnata is native to the southeastern United States and parts of Central and South America. Indigenous communities used the plant long before it appeared in European herbals. Spanish travelers named it after the Passion of Christ, because its intricate flower reminded them of that story. Its earlier uses were practical and local: rest, relaxation, and knowledge of plants passed down from generation to generation.

In the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, this climbing plant became a staple in North American and European herbal medicine as a soothing tea plant. Dried leaves and flowering tops were steeped, made into tinctures, or blended with other mild herbs. Modern extracts continue this tradition in a more concentrated form: the same species, but concentrated so that a measured spoonful goes further than loose leaves.

A 20-gram package of 5X extract is a modern way to keep that tradition compact and practical. It’s not a new wellness innovation, but a well-known plant with a long-standing reputation for helping you wind down at the end of the day, offered here in concentrated form for adults who follow the recommended dosage.

Ingredients

The only ingredient is Passiflora incarnata extract 5x, a concentrated preparation of passionflower. The 20-gram package contains that herbal extract and nothing else: no added flavorings and no filler herbs.

The parent plant is a climber with striking, intricate flowers and triangular, lobed leaves. After harvesting, the above-ground parts are dried and concentrated into a 5x extract, so that a smaller measured amount replaces a larger handful of loose herbs. As with other herbal products, the aroma and potency may vary slightly from harvest to harvest—yet another reason to start with a low dose.
