Wild Dagga 20X Extract

About Wild Dagga 20X Extract

This 5-gram package is intended for use in tea or as part of a herbal blend. The daily maximum is one gram.

Origins and History of Wild Dagga

Leonotis leonurus grows throughout much of South Africa, especially in grasslands and along roadsides and stream banks. Local communities used the leaves and flowering tops as a household and ritual plant long before it appeared in European herb shops. The name “dagga” reflects its long-standing place in everyday knowledge of plants, alongside other regional herbs used for relaxation and social gatherings.

The shrub is easy to recognize: square stems, aromatic leaves, and lion’s-tail-like clusters of orange flowers that attract sunbirds and bees. Colonial and later botanical writers documented the species and its uses, including tea and dried leaves. In the twentieth century, the plant also traveled around the world as an ornamental shrub, causing many people to first become familiar with it as a flower rather than as a herb.

A modern 5-gram package continues that dual life on a small scale: the same South African variety, prepared for adult use in tea or a simple herbal blend. The story is most compelling when it remains authentic. This is a traditional plant with a reputation for relaxation, not some newly invented trend, and it still calls for a modest daily dose.

Ingredients

The only ingredient is Leonotis leonurus, the South African shrub from which this traditional herb is derived. The 5-gram package contains that plant material and nothing else: no added flavorings and no filler herbs.

The parent plant is a perennial shrub with aromatic leaves and striking orange flower clusters. After harvesting, the leaves and flowering tops are dried for use in tea or blends. As with other plant-based products, the aroma and potency may vary slightly from harvest to harvest—yet another reason to limit your intake to one gram per day.
